MPEG 4 IP STBs compatible with EtherneTV

Hi all,

I am looking for an IP STB from a third party manufacturer that is compatible with the EtherneTV system.

Requirements:

1-MPEG 4
2-Compatible with Vbrick's encoders,Streaming servers, Portal Servers and VoD Severs
3-Preferably Win CE based, but linux is an option.

Hi Alaadin,

Is there a specific reason that you are looking for a 3rd party STB.... I would personally recommend the VBrick IP Receiver (MPEG1,2&4 STB)..

1-MPEG 4

Any STB on the market which supports MPEG4 part 2 "should" work.

2-Compatible with VBrick's encoders,Streaming servers, Portal Servers and VoD Severs

Compatibility with the encoders should not be a problem, the work will be in finding one with sufficient reliably for your application. For support of the middleware and VOD elements you really need to however go for a VBrick, or VBrick certified product. For MPEG4 your option is really only the IP Receiver.

3-Preferably Win CE based, but linux is an option.

The IP Receiver is Linux based.
