VBricks are used for remote new gathering.  High bandwidth VSAT's and microwave can, of course, provide MPEG-2 bandwidth.  But more interesting is the use of the cellular network and Immarsat/BGAN to transmit MPEG-4 or WM from anyplace on earth!  see http://www.vbrick.net/video/rng.asx to see a demo.
