Playback using HD on WM Reflector?
« on: February 09, 2009, 08:45:49 PM »

I have a WM reflector appliance (with HD) at a remote location that pulls a unicast stream from a WM encoder. Can I record the stream on the reflector HD and replay it later (using Multicast)? If so, how do record/replay? Can I also replay it in a loop?

Yes, you can record a valid WM stream, including HD, on the VBrick Reflector.  Simply enter the valid URL for the recording (e.g. http://foo/mystream).  You can replay using one of the programs on Videoalive.com, or you can download the recording the play it locally, via http progressive download, or by placing it on a streaming server.

To play in a loop, you need to build a playlist.  There is a great progam on videoalive.com (asx playlist builder) that will do this for you.
