Microphone
« on: September 06, 2008, 11:28:21 AM »

All VBrick appliances accept audio input (excpet certain "SSM" models).  There is a DIN connector labled "Microphone" which connects to the VBrick AudioMate microphone which provides echo cancellation for two-way telepresence (used with MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4).

To use a conventional dynamic or condenser microphone, simply set the audio input gain to +13 db or higher.  These settings are labled "Mic" to indicate they should be used with a microphone.  Please note that at these high gain settings, some dynamic range is lost.
