Integrating SAN with WM VOD server

Our organization just purchased a Xiotech Storage Area Network (SAN). One of the applications designated to utilize the SAN is our EtherneTV system.
The SAN appears as the "E" drive on our WM server. What changes will need to be made to our MCS in order to record video to and retrieve video from the SAN?
