Installation Issues
« on: April 29, 2008, 12:08:31 PM »

I am attempting to install VOD on a Windows 2003 Server.  I installed the MSDE just fine and rebooted the server.

When it comes time to install the software the install routine ends early with this error message: Error 1327.Invalid Drive E:\

Background:
I installed the software using the defaults.  The server only has two drives the local disk C: and the CD drive disk D:

How do I continue with the install from here?

Best Regards,

Andrew Trefethen

"VOD Server"?  Do you mean Windows Media Services?  This is just a Win2000/20003 server option.

What I am intending to install is the EtherneTV-VOD W Video on Demand Server.

No where in the admin guide (VOD-W_SW_AdminGuide.pdf) can I find the phrase "Windows Media Services".

So to answer your question, "Do you mean Windows Media Services?", the answer is no.

Is there someone else more knowledgeable on the topic that I can obtain help?

You posted your question under "Windows Media Server" but your question seems to be about the InfoValue server(VOD-W).  Hence you would not find information about Windows Media Server in your documentation.

VBrick sells several Streaming Servers (VoD Servers) and you must be sure you are asking about the right thing.  For support, contact VBrick support services. This forum is not ideal for urgent issues, but is ideal for general questions and knowledge base.

Sorry about that.  You may, if you want to, move this thread to the appropriate forum.  I will contact customer support.  Thanks for the advice.
