Amino STB will not power off/on with remote

After turning the Amino STB off with the remote I cannot get it to power back on without power cycling the unit.

As long as you are not watching a video the Amino can be turned off and then back on without issue.  If a video is being watched the end user should hit the "Menu" button first, then the power button on the remote.  When they hit the power button again the Amino will come back on.
