I've been unable to get my portal to authenticate a student account which resides on a child domain here on campus. Am I unable to do this? I want to make sure what I am trying to do is possible before I keep trying to make it work. I'm concerned that if this doesn't work it seriously puts a kink in my useability of vbrick (the way I had envisioned it at least!)
Thanks for the info!

Yes this can be done, the things to remember is that the child domain must be able to send information up to the parent domain. What I have seen is that the user will be authenticated but there would be no group information returned for the user so in the Portal Server (MCS) client screen, the user would not have any Live Broadcast or Video Library listings. I have been told that in order for information ( in this case group information) to be passed from the child domain to the parent domain they had to be the same domain controller type ( both Windows 2000, or both Windows 2003 servers).
